What are your candles made of?
Jayne & Wick candles are hand-poured using premium 100% natural wax, lead-free cotton wicks, and high-quality essential oils and phthalate-free fragrances. I avoid paraffin wax and prioritise vegan, phthalate-free, and cruelty-free ingredients.
How long do your candles burn?
- Tea lights: 4–6 hours each
- Medium jars (8–9 oz): 40–55 hours
- Large jars (12–16 oz): 60–80+ hours
Burn times can vary depending on wick trimming and draft-free environments.
Are your candles safe to use?
Yes. My candles are properly tested. I recommend always burning candles within sight, away from flammable materials, children, and pets, and never leaving them unattended. Full safety instructions are included with every order.
How strong is the scent?
Jayne & Wick scents are formulated to be noticeable but not overpowering. You'll enjoy a beautiful fragrance throw when the candle is lit, and a gentle scent when unlit (cold throw). If you prefer very strong scents, I recommend our larger jars or multiple smaller ones in the same room.
Candle Care Questions
How do I get the best burn from my candle?
- Trim the wick to 5mm (1/4 inch) before each burn
- First burn for a minimum of 1 hour or until the wax pool reaches the edge
- Keep away from drafts
- Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time
What should I do if my candle tunnels?
Gently push the softened wax walls inward with a spoon or use a candle warmer. Future burns will improve if you follow the first-burn rule above.
Shipping & Orders
How long does shipping take?
Orders are processed within 2-5 business days - all lovingly hand-poured. UK delivery usually takes 2–5 working days. You'll receive a tracking number once your order ships.
Do you ship internationally?
Not at the moment but something I can look into for you. Please note that international customers are responsible for any customs duties or taxes.
What is your returns policy?
I accept returns within 14 days of delivery if the candles are unused and in original packaging. Please contact me before returning. Personalised or custom orders are non-returnable.

Do you offer wholesale or stockist opportunities?

Are your candles suitable for people with allergies?
Jayne & Wick wax is naturally hypoallergenic and I use high-quality essential oils. However, if you have severe sensitivities, I recommend testing a small candle first or get in touch — I would be happy to provide an unscented option.
Can I customise my order or create my own scent?

Do you offer gift wrapping or gift messages?
Yes! You can add a free handwritten gift message at checkout and choose gift wrapping for a small additional fee.
