Candle Safety & Care
Before lighting
Place your candle upright on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from draughts, open windows and anything that could catch fire. Keep it out of reach of children and pets. Remove any packaging and keep the wax free from matches, wick trimmings and other debris. Follow the wick-trimming instructions on the label.
While burning
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish it before leaving the room or going to sleep. Keep burning candles apart and away from curtains, shelves and other objects. The glass can become hot — do not touch or move the candle while it is lit or while the wax is liquid.
Extinguishing and cooling
Use a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame. Never use water. Allow the wax to set and the glass to cool completely before handling or relighting. Stop using your candle at the minimum remaining wax level stated on the label. Do not burn it down to the base.
Between burns and when finished
Store upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not use if the glass is cracked, chipped or damaged. Let the vessel cool completely before cleaning. Never pour wax down the sink or use sharp tools to remove it. If refilling, use only a refill designed for that vessel and follow the instructions.

Wax Melter Set Safety & Care
Place your melter on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from draughts, flammable materials, children and pets. Check for cracks or damage before each use — do not use if damaged.
Using your melter
Do not overfill the dish (we recommend 2 pieces of Jayne & Wick wax melts in our melter). For a tealight-powered melter, use only one tealight. For an electric melter, follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Never leave the melter unattended while in use. Do not allow the wax dish to heat empty.
After use
Extinguish the tealight or switch off and unplug the electric melter before leaving the room or going to sleep. The melter and melted wax can become hot — allow both to cool completely before touching, moving or cleaning. Never use water to cool a hot melter. Remove used wax according to the instructions supplied. Do not use sharp tools or pour wax down the sink.
Reed Diffuser Safety & Care
Place your diffuser upright on a stable surface where it cannot be knocked over, away from children and pets. Use a protective tray to keep the liquid away from polished, painted, plastic or porous surfaces.
Setting up
Remove the stopper carefully and insert the supplied reeds. Start with fewer reeds for a gentler fragrance and add more if desired. If turning the reeds, do so over a protected surface to catch drips. Avoid getting diffuser liquid on your skin and wash your hands after handling.
Keeping it safe
Keep away from heat, sparks, naked flames and direct sunlight. Never light the reeds or use the diffuser liquid in a wax melter. Do not swallow the liquid. Avoid contact with skin and eyes and follow the precautions on the product label. If swallowed or splashed into the eyes, follow the label’s first-aid instructions and seek medical advice promptly, keeping the packaging available.
Spills and disposal
Wipe up spills immediately following the product label’s guidance. Diffuser liquid may damage surfaces. Do not pour leftover liquid down the sink. Follow the disposal instructions on the label and local waste guidance.
